i18n: git-debrebase: Change a lot of die to confess
These are internal errors or unexpected syscall failures. Printing a
stack trace is reasonably helpful there.
(Also, some of them are in the experimental merge resolution code.)
Audited with i18n-diff-auditor; reviewed one questionable change.
