| | | | | actually, it does support byte compilation now. | ||
* | update permissions script templates | David Bremner | 2015-07-19 |
| | | | | It really doesn't matter, but it doesn't hurt either. | ||

* | set mode of different emacsen-common pieces appropriately. | David Bremner | 2015-07-18 |
| | | | | Thanks lintian! | ||
* | update debian changelog for 0.0.2 | David Bremner | 2015-07-17 |
| | | | | | It's a bit chatty, but anyone brave enough to use build tools from experimental should be reading changelogs. | ||
* | bump elpa version of dh-elpa.el | David Bremner | 2015-07-17 |
| | | | | In principle it might be nice to automate synching this, but since falling out of sync is mainly an aesthetic problem afaik, ignore that problem for now. | ||
* | update load paths | David Bremner | 2015-07-17 |
| | | | | | | dh-elpa.el needs to be loaded from the "never-byte-compiled" path, but other packages might need to be loaded from the "not-yet-byte-compiled" path" | ||
* | auto-installation of helper scripts | David Bremner | 2015-07-17 |
| | | | | | | This means no fancy predepends are needed because we just copy the scripts in at build time. Of course bug fixes for the helper scripts require package rebuilds. | ||
* | add no-byte-compile option | David Bremner | 2015-07-17 |
| | | | | | In particular --no-byte-compile allows building dh-elpa without worrying about where to find the maintainer script helpers. | ||
* | clean up temporary directory | David Bremner | 2015-07-17 |
| | | | | The tarball creation is reasonably well tested at this point. | ||
* | update install script for new location of non-bytecompiled files | David Bremner | 2015-07-16 |
| | |||
* | change installation target directory | David Bremner | 2015-07-16 |
| | | | | | | | My initial plan to have both the generic install and the bytecompiled version in different places in package-directory-list didn't work out, so move the non-bytecompiled version out of the default package-directory-list. | ||

| | |||
* | update implementation notes | David Bremner | 2015-07-16 |
| | |||

* | add versioned depends on Debhelper | David Bremner | 2015-07-13 |
| | |||
* | replace dependency on File::Slurp | David Bremner | 2015-07-13 |
| | | | | Hopefully I'm doing this "read back the temp file" thing correctly | ||
* | build depend on debhelper | David Bremner | 2015-07-13 |
| | | | | oops | ||
* | update README.org | David Bremner | 2015-07-13 |
| | | | | | | We now support multi-file packages document a package.el bug | ||
* | compute elpa package name from debian binary package name. | David Bremner | 2015-07-13 |
| | | | | This is probably not the best solution, but it works for now. | ||
* | add function to only print command output on error. | David Bremner | 2015-07-13 |
| | | | | A refined version of this should perhaps be pushed into debhelper. | ||
* | update docstrings | David Bremner | 2015-07-12 |
| | |||
* | Initial support for multiple-file packages | David Bremner | 2015-07-12 |
| | | | | Still no byte compilation, and grotesque amounts of output | ||

| | |||
* | implementation note | David Bremner | 2015-07-12 |
| | |||
* | mention a more interesting advantage of elpa style packages | David Bremner | 2015-07-12 |
| | |||
* | minimal conversion to perl / debhelper lib | David Bremner | 2015-07-12 |
| | | | | | | | | | | | | It turns out this isn't $MESSY_CONFLICT_ZONE, there are rules about writing debhelper extensions. This is mainly cargo culting from dh_installdocs. - compute destination directory, support multiple binary packages. - add debian/elpa file, test the "standard" codepath. Still not very standard because it's a single file elpa package. | ||
* | write some basic doc/warnings, and install them | David Bremner | 2015-07-11 |
| | |||
* | hack to add dh-elpa.el to load-path | David Bremner | 2015-07-11 |
| | | | | This would all be easier if I didn't insist on using emacs -Q | ||
* | use package.el magic to find the lisp file | David Bremner | 2015-07-11 |
| | | | | | Since the whole point of this package is to simplify other packages, try to set a good example. | ||
* | make package arch all, rather than arch any. | David Bremner | 2015-07-11 |
| | |||
* | make dh_elpa actually work with an installed elisp file. | David Bremner | 2015-07-11 |
| | | | | | This is not the most elegant solution in the world, but impovements only need to change this package's debian/rules. | ||
* | add autoload cookies. | David Bremner | 2015-07-11 |
| | | | | Not sure this is really useful, but I guess it doesn't hurt. | ||
* | inhibit backups | David Bremner | 2015-07-11 |
| | | | | I guess this is a bug in the package.el I borrowed this code from. | ||
* | fix copyright verbiage | David Bremner | 2015-07-11 |
| | |||
* | add minimal debian packaging | David Bremner | 2015-07-11 |
| | |||
* | start a simple wrapper | David Bremner | 2015-07-11 |
| | | | | | Scripts using emacs lisp require wizard level hackishness to get execed. Let's do things the simple way. | ||
* | add single file batch installer function | David Bremner | 2015-07-11 |
| | |||
* | install from buffer function | David Bremner | 2015-07-11 |
| | | | | just grab the package.el version, and add directory parameter | ||
* | customize unpack function | David Bremner | 2015-07-11 |
| | | | | | - don't compile or activate package - take destination directory as a parameter | ||
* | add more copyright info. | David Bremner | 2015-07-11 |
| | | | | credit where credit is due. | ||
* | dh-elpa: initial chicken scratchings in the dirt | David Bremner | 2015-07-11 |
One function "borrowed" from package.el. We don't want to rely on the private (seeming) API, and anyway it's easier to modify certain aspects, like byte compiling. |
