Gammu for Debian
----------------
If you want to use Gammu with Symbian phone, you have to install gnapplet to
the phone. Currently available version is unfortunately incompatible with UIQ3
phones (Symbian 9.1 and newer), help with porting gnapplet to this is welcome.
As gnapplet can not be distributed in Debian package, you can download it from
upstream website <http://cihar.com/gammu/#gnapplet>:

SMSD daemon is now in separate package gammu-smsd. The daemon starts system
wide by default with spool in files at /var/spool/gammu, but you can change
configuration to use either MySQL or PostgreSQL database backends. Please note
that Gammu user needs privileges to access device of your phone, you can do
this usually by adding him to some group.
